Representatives of the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) participated in the High Power Laser Science and Engineering (HPLSE) Forum on April 9-13, 2018. The event was organized by the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM) and is the largest event on laser research to be held in China and the Asian region.

On 23 May, the Grand Opening Ceremony of ELI-ALPS took place in Szeged.
