During the two-day scientific meeting, the experts of ISTAC listened to presentations from our colleagues and toured the laboratories of our institution, during which we received highly positive feedback from them about our operational lasers and the research conducted with them. Additionally, they formulated recommendations for the further development of our equipment, which will be fully completed by autumn, and for attracting researchers through the upcoming 3rd Joint ELI Call for Users.
The task of ISTAC's 14 leading experts in the forefront of laser research is to evaluate the scientific objectives of the ELI ERIC (Extreme Light Infrastructure European Research Infrastructure Consortium), provide recommendations for strategic decisions and scientific-technical activities, and coordinate the user programs of ELI ALPS and ELI Beamlines. This coordination aims to maximize the efficient utilization of laser facilities, facilitating the achievement of broad and groundbreaking scientific results.
