ELI ALPS’ physicist Dr. Zsuzsanna Pápa wins Junior Prima Award

This year is the 15th time the Junior Prima Awards have been handed out in the “Hungarian Science” category. The award is granted to young scientists under the age of 33 who significantly contribute to the development of Hungarian science with their outstanding scientific work and international results.

Over 100 new intensive care beds have been set up for coronavirus patients in our Research Institute

Prof. Dr. Gábor Szabó, managing director of ELI-ALPS, offered two halls of the building complex to Albert Szent-Györgyi Health Center, in case the epidemiological situation would require the care of infected patients there.

We inaugurated the SYLOS 2A laser system

On 15 May, we held a ceremonial event where we inaugurated the SYLOS 2A laser system. Designed by the Lithuanian companies EKSPLA and Light Conversion and developed in collaboration with ELI-ALPS personnel in two phases, the laser system will provide research opportunities in various fields of scientific and industrial applications.
