ELI Summer School 2022

The 7th edition of the ELI Summer School series aims to provide young scientists with a comprehensive overview of the generation and application of intense laser pulses and laser-driven particle and radiation sources. This year the hybrid event will be held at ELI ALPS from 30 August to 2 September 2022.

ELI names Prof. Andrew Harrison Director of Science

Prof. Andrew Harrison, CEO of the Diamond Light Source since 2014 will join the Extreme Light Source ERIC as its first Director of Science. He will lead the scientific programme as well as coordinate the ELI user programme.

One step closer to solve an issue of nuclear energy

An agreement of professional cooperation was concluded amongst the University of Szeged, École Polytechnique from Paris and California-based Tri Alpha Energy (TAE) Corporation. The aim of the international project is to develop a laser technology that facilitates the waste management of nuclear plants. Researchers reached a milestone at ELI ALPS.
