7th International Conference on
Attosecond Science and Technology
July 1–5, 2019
The International Committee of the Attosecond Science and Technology Conference is pleased to announce that the 7th International Conference (ATTO2019) will take place in Szeged, Hungary from July 1 to 5 2019.
ATTO2019 will cover all aspects of attosecond science and technologies from sources and metrology to applications. The main research topics to be discussed include:
• (1) Attosecond pulse generation and characterization
• (2) High-order harmonic generation and applications
• (3) Ultrafast phenomena on the attosecond and femtosecond timescales
• (4) Next generation drivers for attosecond pulse and high-order harmonic generation
• (5) New sources and applications of coherent ultrashort XUV and X-ray pulses
• (6) Time-resolved photon, electron and ion spectroscopy.
Szeged is the cultural and science centre of the Alfold (Southern Great Plain) Region, at the confluence of the rivers Maros and Tisza. It is the largest city in south-east Hungary, with approximately 160,000 inhabitants. Szeged is often known as the “city of sunshine” with over 2100 hours of sunshine each year. The city is a “region knowledge centre” due to the outstanding work of the University of Szeged, the Biological Research Centre and the ELI-ALPS Research Institute.
Szeged is a place swarming with activity, providing visitors with many touristic sights including the Dom, the Synagogue, “Heros’ Gate”, Szeged City Hall, an old Water Tower, Fountains (with thermal water, or light and musical shows), as well as food, wine and beer festivals and performances at the Szeged National Theatre and the summer Open Air Theatre. You can also taste the
extremely authentic Hungarian cusine like “gulyás”, “pörkölt” and Szeged’s famous fish soup.
Further information on the conference will be regularly posted on the website www.eli-alps.hu/atto2019 and the local organizers can be contacted at email@example.com. The organisers warmly invite you and your colleagues to join us for this conference. We believe you will not only enjoy the scientific presentations and associated discussions on attosecond physics, but will also have a
memorable experience at ELI-ALPS, Hungary. Please save the date in your calendar and join us in Szeged.
We are looking forward to your active participation at ATTO2019.
