Visit of the directorial delegation of ELI-ALPS to Spain

There was a weeklong visit of the directorial delegation of ELI-ALPS to Spain.

In Salamanca, the delegation met with representatives from Spanish research centres. After the mutual presentations, new connections were formed with the attending participants Lóránt Lehrner, the Managing Director, the Research Technology Director, Károly Osvay, and the Surface Plasma Attosource Group leader, Subhendu Kahaly. These presentations were followed by scientific and technological meetings. Discussions were held with the hosts, the CLPU’s (Centro de Láseres Pulsados Ultracortos Ultraintensos) directors, examining future cooperation possibilities. These talks looked at, among other topics, mutual tenders, laser research and development programs. Colleagues, led by technical director, János Mucsi, surveyed the operation of the local facility.

In Madrid, Lóránt Lehrner and ELI-ALPS’s scientific envoy, Zsolt Fülöp met Enikő Győri, Hungary’s ambassador to Spain, and spoke with the Spanish scientific diplomacy about the advantages of becoming a member of ELI-ERIC — the organization responsible for the three ELI-pillars.

In Malaga, colleagues participated at the Spanish international innovation and technology transfer exhibition and fair. As well as exhibiting with a stand, talks were held with the CEO of the International Association of Science Parks, the CEO of Technology Park Malaga, and Spanish government representatives.
